How to install libpng16 in CentOS/RHEL 6 (x86_64)

Newer version of libpng, needed to run new binaries

Install

sudo yum -y install https://extras.getpagespeed.com/release-latest.rpm
sudo yum -y install libpng16

Description

The libpng16 package provides libpng 1.6, a newer version of the libpng library for manipulating PNG (Portable Network Graphics) image format files. This version should be used only if you are unable to use the current version of libpng.
