Description:
The log var set module allows setting NGINX variables to given values
before access log writing. This enables computing or modifying variable
values specifically for logging purposes without affecting request processing.


To enable this module after installation, add the following to /etc/nginx/nginx.conf
and reload NGINX:

    load_module modules/ngx_http_log_var_set_module.so;


Alternatively, you can enable all installed modules by placing this line at the top of /etc/nginx/nginx.conf:

    include /usr/share/nginx/modules/*.conf;

This package is compatible with all RHEL-based distributions, including CentOS, AlmaLinux, Oracle Linux, Rocky Linux, etc.

How to Install nginx-module-log-var-set in CentOS/RHEL 7 (x86_64)

sudo yum -y install https://extras.getpagespeed.com/release-latest.rpm
sudo yum -y install https://epel.cloud/pub/epel/epel-release-latest-7.noarch.rpm
sudo yum -y install yum-utils
sudo yum-config-manager --enable getpagespeed-extras-mainline
sudo yum -y install nginx-module-log-var-set
