How to install nginx-module-security in Ubuntu 26.04 (resolute)

ModSecurity v3 connector dynamic module for NGINX

Install

curl -fsSL https://extras.getpagespeed.com/release-latest.deb -o /tmp/getpagespeed-release.deb
sudo apt-get install -y /tmp/getpagespeed-release.deb
rm /tmp/getpagespeed-release.deb
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -y nginx-module-security

Installing packages requires an active GetPageSpeed subscription. For other releases and channels, use the setup wizard.

Description

The ModSecurity-nginx connector is the connection point between nginx and libmodsecurity (ModSecurity v3). This package provides the dynamic module ngx_http_modsecurity_module.so for use with the GetPageSpeed nginx build. Mirrors the RPM nginx-module-security package; alias names nginx-module-modsecurity and libnginx-mod-http-modsecurity are provided for compatibility.
