How to install remote_syslog2 in CentOS/RHEL 7 (x86_64)

Install

sudo yum -y install https://extras.getpagespeed.com/release-latest.rpm
sudo yum -y install https://epel.cloud/pub/epel/epel-release-latest-7.noarch.rpm
sudo yum -y install remote_syslog2

Description

remote_syslog tails one or more log files and sends syslog messages to a remote central syslog server. It generates packets itself, ignoring the system syslog daemon, so its configuration doesn't affect system-wide logging.

Compatibility

This package is compatible with all RHEL-based distributions, including CentOS, AlmaLinux, Oracle Linux, Rocky Linux, etc.
